It's hard teaching middleschoolers

I'm on lunch break outside of Dike middleschool. Today is day 4 of the 6 days I have to prepare 100 students to perform as little DJ orchestras. Working with teens is challenging, but as you stick it through the rough beginnings, you begin to see them connect with what they are able to do. I've learned that one of the biggest hinderances to being an effective teacher is your own self esteem. As an artist educator, I must do my job of loving and teaching kids and not take offense when it is not accepted. Teens are finding themselves and soetimes we are the testing grounds. Will you rise to the challenge and be a mentor.
